Start cooking pasta.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter and the olive oil in skillet. Add tomatoes and cook, stirring often until tender, but still hold their shape. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper and basil. Cook 2 minutes longer. Remove from heat, but keep warm.
Add broccoli to pasta water last 5 minutes. Drain. Melt remaining butter in pasta pot. Return pasta and broccoli to pot and toss to coat. Add tomato mixture and half of the broth, cheese and parsley. Add more broth if needed.
Sprinkle with nuts and serve.
