|Lean ground beef/Veal||1 Pound|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|No salt added tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Canned italian plum tomatoes||16 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), pressed|
|Ground black pepper||To Taste|
|Chopped parsley||1 Tablespoon|
|Vegetable oil spray||1 Tablespoon|
|Fresh bean sprouts||1 Pound, drained, rinsed|
Wipe mushrooms with a clean, damp cloth.
Slice and set aside.
Brown meat in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Pour off fat and add mushrooms and onion.
Cook until tender.
Add remaining ingredients except bean sprouts.
Reduce heat and simmer, covered, until sauce thickens.
Lightly spray a large skillet with vegetable oil.
Add bean sprouts, cover and cook over medium-high heat just until tender-crisp.
