Simple Spaghetti Sauce
|Bacon slices||3 , cut in small pieces|
|Onion||1 Medium, chopped|
|Celery stalk||1 , thinly sliced|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Canned tomatoes||500 Milliliter|
|Condensed tomato soup||1 Can (10 oz) (284 Milliliter)|
|Salt||5 Milliliter (1 Teaspoon)|
|Oregano||2 Milliliter (1/2 Teaspoon)|
|Basil||2 Milliliter (1/2 Teaspoon)|
|Pepper||1 Milliliter (1/4 Teaspoon)|
In 2 L (2 quart) saucepan over medium heat, fry bacon until crisp.
Add onion, celery and garlic; cook 5 minutes or until onion and celery are tender.
Add 75 mL (1/3 cup) water and remaining ingredients; heat to boiling.
Reduce heat to low and simmer, stir occasionally, about 15 minutes.
