Baked Soybeans

Ingredients
  Cooked dried soy beans 2 Cup (32 tbs) (With Cooking Liquid Reserved)
  Onion 1 Large, chopped
  Vegetable oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Unsulphured molasses 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 4 Teaspoon (Or To Taste)
  Dry mustard 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Hot water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
2. Combine the beans with the onion and oil. Put in a bean crock or casserole with a narrow top opening.
3. In a measuring cup, combine the molasses, salt, mustard, and enough hot water to fill the cup. Pour over the beans. Add enough reserved soybean cooking liquid to cover the beans.
4. Cover the crock and bake for 6 to 8 hours. Add more water as necessary to maintain the level until the last hour, then uncover and do not add any more water.
