Sweet & Sour Soybeans
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced / pressed|
|Green pepper||To Taste, seeded and cut into 1 inch squares|
|Onion||1 Large, cut into 1 inch squares|
|Cooked soybeans||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Carrots||2 Large, cut into 1/4 inch slices|
|Salad oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Tomatoes||2 , cut into wedges|
|Pineapple chunks||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (Fresh / Canned, Drained)|
|Sweet and sour sauce||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
Prepare sweet sour sauce and reserve.
Ladle up a steaming bowl of Layered Chili.
Then make it live up to its name€”pile on layers of cheese and other condiments.
A wedge of Quick Corn Bread complements the chili and completes the protein.
Heat oil in a wide frying pan over high heat; add onion, carrots, and garlic and cook, stirring, for about 3 minutes or until vegetables are crisp tender.
Add green pepper and cook for 1 minute.
Add pineapple, tomatoes, and soybeans and cook for 2 minutes or until hot.
Stir sweet sour sauce, pour into pan, and continue to cook, stirring, until sauce bubbles and thickens.
