Pinto Bean Soup Recipe
Pinto beans are soaked overnight and then boiled till soft. In a pan onion, tomatoes and flavors like chili, salt, cumin, pepper, etc are sautéed along with the cooked pinto beans. Enough water is added and the soup is simmered till required consistency is achieved. Cream may be added for richness. Many chefs also blend the soup to get a smooth texture if they don’t prefer the chunkier feel of the soup. The soup is served commonly with cornbread.
