Beef Cabbage Soup

Beef cabbage soup is a healthy appetizer served both at home and restaurants. The only set back for this soup recipe is its cooking time. The minced meat required for making beef cabbage soup is simmered over low heat for long hours or till the meat is tenderized. The cabbage leaves are taken off the cabbage head and kept aside. For this beef cabbage soup, shredded cabbage doesn’t give the desired texture and consistency. The other optional vegetables for this soup are carrots, lettuce and broccoli. A lttle butter or margarine can be added into the soup mixture, followed by salt and pepper. As the meat gets simmered properly, the flavor from it is mixed into the soup. This beef cabbage soup is often consumed without any side croutons or breads.
