Tomato Soup Cake
|Sifted all purpose flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Butter/Shortening / margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Tomato soup||1 Can (10 oz)|
|Chopped nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Sift flour 3 times, add salt, soda, baking powder and spices and sift together.
Cream shortening, add sugar gradually continuing to cream.
Add egg and beat well.
Fold in dry ingredients alternately with tomato soup.
Add nuts and raisins last.
Bake in a greased cake pan at 350F for 45 to 60 minutes.
