Black Bean Soup

|Black beans||1 Pound|
|Water||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Ham/1/2 pound smoked ham||1⁄4 Pound, fried crisp and crumbled|
|Onions||2 Medium, chopped|
|Garlic salt||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Completely soften beans as directed .
Combine all ingredients in crock pot; stir well.
Cover and cook on high setting for 4 to 6 hours
