Green Chile Chicken Soup
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (1 Stick)|
|Flour||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Chicken broth||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Chopped cooked chicken||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Chopped green chili peppers||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic powder||1 Pinch|
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Whisk in the flour.
Add the milk and chicken broth gradually, whisking well to eliminate lumps.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce to a simmer.
Add the chicken, chile peppers, garlic powder, salt and pepper and stir well.
Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
Serve with tortillas
