Hearty Chicken Soup
|Water||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Canned tomatoes||16 Ounce, cut up|
|Carrot||1 , sliced (0.5 Cup On Slicing)|
|Onion||1 Small, sliced (0.5 Cup On Slicing)|
|Sliced celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dried thyme||1⁄4 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Canned boned chicken||10 Ounce, cut up or 1.5 cups diced cooked chicken (2, 5 Ounce Cans)|
|Uncooked medium noodles||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Canned sliced mushrooms||3 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
In large saucepan combine water, tomatoes, sliced carrot, onion, celery, salt, thyme, and bay leaf.
Bring mixture to boiling; reduce heat.
Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
Remove bay leaf.
Stir in diced chicken, uncooked noodles, and drained mushrooms.
Boil gently, covered, till noodles are done, 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 5 or 6 servings.
