Split Pea Soup With Carrots

Ingredients
  Water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Dried thyme leaves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Green peas 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), split
  Cayenne pepper 1 Pinch
  Carrots 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), chopped
  Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon
  Celery 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped
  Tomato 1 Large, chopped
  Onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped
Directions

Place water, split peas, carrots, celery, onion, thyme, and cayenne pepper in a large soup pot.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour or until peas are tender.
Transfer to a blender or food processor and puree.
Return to pot and warm through.
Stir in lemon juice.
Serve garnished with chopped tomato.
