Bean Soup With Frankfurters
|Great northern beans/Navy beans||1 Pound|
|Water||8 Cup (128 tbs)|
|Carrot||1 , diced|
|Celery stalks||1 , diced (With Leaves)|
|Onion||1 Large, chopped|
|Frankfurters||3 , sliced|
|Parsley||2 Tablespoon, chopped|
Soak beans overnight in water in the slow cooker.
Do not drain.
Cover and cook on high about 3 hours, until tender.
Add vegetables and seasonings.
Cover and cook oh low 10 to 12 hours.
Add frankfurters the last 30 minutes of cooking.
Stir to mash some of the beans and thicken the soup.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley
