|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Half and half||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chicken broth||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Garlic powder||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Dried basil||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Chopped broccoli||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
Saute onion in butter in a Dutch oven.
Add flour, stirring until smooth.
Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Gradually add milk, half-and-half, and chicken broth; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thickened and bubbly.
Stir in salt, garlic powder, and basil.
Add broccoli, cover and cook over medium heat 15 minutes and then blend smooth.
