Easy Fifteen Bean Soup

Fifteen bean soup is very good for the digestive system as it packs in a whole lot of fiber along with the nutritious goodness of the beans. Add in any ingredient of choice in this easy soup recipe and make your own fifteen bean soup. Here is the recipe to get you started.
Ingredients
  Bean soup mix 1 Cup (16 tbs), rinsed and soaked overnight
  Olive oil 1 Teaspoon
  Onion 1
  Pepper 1
  Garlic 3 Tablespoon
  Chicken broth 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Ham steak 1
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Heat some olive oil in a pan and add in the onions, bell pepper and ham.
Add in the garlic. Stir and sauté.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Stir and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
Add in the beans with the water.
Add chicken broth to cover the ingredients fully.
Simmer on medium low heat for about 11/2-2 hours with lid on till the beans begin to soften, stirring in between.
Serve over rice.
