Mountaineer Bread Soup
|Garlic clove||1 Large|
|Chicken broth||1 Liter|
|Fresh parsley/Fresh chervil||1 Teaspoon|
If your oven has a tray, place the slices of either fresh or stale bread on it.
The bread can be buttered on one side.
Dry at HIGH 1 minute; some bread may take 1.5 minutes.
When you take the bread out of the oven, rub one side with the cut garlic clove.
Some of the garlic will melt on the bread.
Set aside until ready to serve.
Microwave the chicken broth at HIGH until boiling hot.
Place a slice of bread in each soup bowl.
Slowly fill the bowl with the boiling broth.
Microwave at HIGH 30 seconds for each bowl.
If you wish to use cheese, place a thin slice of a cheese of your choice on top of the dry bread.
Then proceed as above.
When ready to serve, sprinkle soup with the minced parsley or chervil.
