White Wine Onion Soup
|Chicken consomme||750 Milliliter|
|Dry white wine||250 Milliliter|
|Freshly ground pepper||1 Milliliter|
|Light cream||500 Milliliter|
|Swiss cheese||375 Milliliter|
Place the butter in a 10-cup (2.5 L) microwave-safe bowl and melt 2 minutes at HIGH.
Add the onions and thyme, stir well.
Microwave, uncovered, 5 minutes at HIGH.
Stir, add the chicken consomme, wine, sugar, salt and pepper.
Microwave 8 minutes at HIGH.
Add the cream, microwave 3 minutes at HIGH.
Serve hot with a bowl of grated Swiss cheese; each person can add cheese to taste.
