|Vegetable soup mix||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Water||7 Cup (112 tbs)|
|Bouillon granules||1 Tablespoon, beef flavored|
|Garlic powder||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
Combine soup mix and water in a large Dutch oven; let soak 11/2 hours.
Add remaining ingredients, and bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour or until vegetables are tender.
Remove the bay leaf before serving.
