Super Salmon Soup
|Sliced onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Canned salmon||15 1⁄2 Ounce|
Brown onions in butter in a heavy saucepan until richly colored but not burned. Stir frequently; this will take about one-half hour. Flake salmon, removing skin and large bones, if desired. Add to onion mixture. Add milk. Heat to boiling point but do not allow boiling. Add salt and pepper to taste. This is a very simple dish to prepare, but is delicious and hearty served with saltines.
