Special Turkey Soup
|Leftover gravy and turkey||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sliced celery||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sliced carrot||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Alphabet noodles||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Heavy cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Break carcass into pieces; place in large kettle.
Add gravy and meat; cover with water.
Bring to a boil slowly; simmer, covered, for 4 hours.
Add seasonings and vegetables; cook for 30 minutes longer.
Cool; remove bones and skin.
Refrigerate; skim off fat.
Blend butter and flour into smooth paste; blend into soup before reheating.
Return soup to heat; bring to a boil.
Add desired amount of noodles; cook for 10 minutes, or until noodles are tender.
Add cream and sherry; simmer, stirring, until just heated through.
