Black and White Bean Soup
|Kielbasa/Smoked sausage||1⁄2 Pound, sliced|
|Sliced leeks||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sauerkraut||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), drained, rinsed|
|Canned black beans||16 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Canned white kidney beans||16 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Canned vegetable juice||36 Ounce (3 Cans, 12 Ounce Each)|
|Condensed chicken broth||10 3⁄4 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Caraway seed||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cayenne pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Sour cream||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
1) Take a 4-quart saucepan and pour chicken broth along with vegetable juice in it. Add black beans, Kielbasa or smoked sausage, leeks, black beans, sauerkraut, white kidney beans and caraway seed to the liquid. Bring the mixture to a boil.
2) Reduce the heat and cover. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3) Serve hot with sour cream and pamper your tastebuds!
