Old Fashioned Vegetable Soup
|Soup bones/1 pound beef short ribs||2 Pound|
|Celery salt||1 Teaspoon|
|Onion||1 Small, chopped|
|Diced carrots||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Diced celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Diced potatoes||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Canned whole kernel corn||1 Pound (1 Can, Not Drained)|
|Canned tomatoes||1 Pound, cut up (1 Can)|
|Turnips||2 , peeled, finely chopped|
Place meat, water, salt, celery salt, onion, carrots, and celery in slow-cooking pot.
Cover and cook on low 4 to 6 hours.
Remove bones; chop meat and return to pot.
Add potatoes, corn, tomatoes, and turnips.
Cover and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
