Lentil Soup

Ingredients
  Unsalted butter/Corn oil margarine 1 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 Large, sliced
  Green bell pepper 1 Small, chopped
  Garlic buds 2 , minced
  Unsalted beef stock 2 1⁄2 Quart (10 Cups)
  Bay leaves 2
  Crushed dried thyme 1 Teaspoon
  Freshly ground black pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Baking yeast 2 Tablespoon
  Dried lentils 1 Pound, soaked in water to cover overnight, drained (2 Cups)
Directions

MAKING
1) In a large iron skillet, heat the butter or margarine and add the onion, green pepper and garlic
2) Keep this cooking until the vegetables turn tender & lightly brown.
3) Pour in the beef stock in a large saucepan or soup kettle and add the cooked vegetables, bay leaves, thyme, pepper and Bakon Yeast
4) Mix this well and then boil this after adding the drained lentils
5) With the heat lowered, cover it slightly so that the steam escapes and it simmers for 1½ hours

SERVING
6) Pour the hot soup into bowls
7) Serve hot
