Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
  Chicken broth 4 Cup (64 tbs), defatted
  Dried split peas 1 Cup (16 tbs), sorted and rinsed
  Chopped carrots 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped onions 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped celery 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Turkey ham 2 Ounce, finely chopped
  Dried marjoram 1⁄3 Teaspoon
  Liquid smoke seasoning 1⁄10 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1
Directions

In a large saucepan, combine the broth and peas.
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat.
Cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Add the carrots, onions, celery, turkey ham, marjoram, liquid smoke and bay leaf.
Return to a boil, then reduce the heat.
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes to blend the flavors.
Remove and discard the bay leaf before serving.
