Savory Seven Bean Soup
|Bean mixture||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Green Split Peas, Yellow Split Peas, Red Split Peas, Black-Eyed Peas, Pinto Beans, Great Northern Beans, Lentils In Equal Parts)|
|Water||8 Cup (128 tbs)|
|Onion||1 , chopped|
|Lean ham||1 Pound, diced|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Tomatoes||16 Ounce, undrained (1 Can)|
1) In a 5-quart crockpot, add 8 cups of water, 2 cups of the bean mix and chopped onions.
2) Cook on LOW for about 6 hours. Keep stirring occasionally.
3) Add in the tomatoes and green chiles, ham, garlic and whole tomatoes. Continue to cook on low for about 1 hour more.
4) Squeeze in the juice of 1 lemon into the Savory Seven Bean Soup and serve hot.
