No Hassle Split Pea Soup
|Dry green split peas||1 Pound, soaked overnight, drained|
|Lean ham||3⁄4 Pound, cubed|
|Onion powder||1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Carrots||1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced|
|Onion||1 Medium, chopped|
1) In a crockpot, add split peas, water, ham, onion powder, pepper, celery, carrots, onion and bay leaf.
2) Close the crockpot and cook on LOW setting for about 10-12 hours.
3) Alternatively, you can cook the soup on HIGH setting for about 5 to 6 hours.
4) Serve the No Hassle Split Peas Soup hot with toasted French Bread on the center.
