Cauliflower And Broccoli Soup

Ingredients
  Cauliflower florets 1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced
  Broccoli flowerets 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Green onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sliced
  Chicken broth 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Dried thyme 1⁄4 Teaspoon, crushed
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Chicken broth 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Light cream/Milk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Light cream/Milk 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
Directions

MAKING
1) In a 1 1/2-quart casserole add cauliflower, broccoli, onion, 1/2 cup chicken broth, thyme, and pepper.
2) Cook covered on 100% power (high) for 4 to 6 minutes stirring once.
3) Mix 1 1/4 cups broth and 3/4 cup light cream or milk.
4) Cook covered on high for 2 to 3 minutes.
5) Combine 1/4 cup light cream or milk and cornstarch.
6) Add this to the vegetable mixture and stir.
7) Cook on high for 4 to 6 minutes, stirring each minute till the mixture starts to thicken, then stirring every 30 seconds.
8) Cook on high for 1 minute.

SERVING
9) Serve hot.
