Northern Bean Soup

Ingredients
  Dry northern beans 1 Pound
  Ham 1 Pound
  Onions 2 Medium, chopped
  Green pepper 1 , half chopped
  Chopped celery 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Canned diced tomatoes 16 Ounce (1 Can)
  Carrots 4 , peeled and chopped
  Canned green chili peppers 4 Ounce (1 Can)
  Garlic powder 1 Teaspoon
  Water 2 Quart
  Salt 3 Teaspoon
Directions

MAKING
1. To prepare beans, wash them, cover with water and soak overnight.
2. Then drain and pour into slow cooker.
3. Dicing ham into 1-inch pieces add to beans.
4. Stir in remaining ingredients and cook with cover on High for 2 hours and then on Low 10-12 hours such that beans are tender.

SERVING
5. Serve as desired.
