Stale Bread Soup

Ingredients
  Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 , chopped
  Garlic 6 Clove (30 gm), chopped
  Ripe tomatoes/1 can tomatoes 2 Pound
  Black pepper 1 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Hot water 5 Cup (80 tbs)
  Basil/1 teaspoon dried basil / 1 teaspoon dried thyme 2 Tablespoon, dried
  Bread slices 2
  Green onions/A handful of fresh basil leaves 1 Bunch (100 gm)
Directions

MAKING
1)In a saucepan, heat oil.
2) Add onion, pepper and garlic and saute for a minute.
3) Add tomatoes and cook further for atleast 5 minutes.
4)Stir in the bread, salt and water, and simmer for atleast 10 -15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

SERVING
5)Serve soup hot garnished with thinly sliced green onions or chopped fresh basil.
