Sweet And Sour Cabbage Soup
|Ground beef||1⁄2 Pound|
|Cabbage||2 Pound, shredded|
|Onion||1 Large, chopped|
|Carrots||2 Medium, chopped|
|Canned stewed tomatoes||28 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Tomato soup||1 Can (10 oz)|
|Canned sauerkraut||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Potatoes||2 Large, cut into eights|
|Sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
Brown ground beef in skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain.
Combine beef with cabbage, onion, carrots, tomatoes, soup, undrained sauerkraut, potatoes, sugar, brown sugar and water in saucepan.
Season with salt and pepper.
Simmer, covered, for 2 1/2 to 3 hours; adjust seasoning.
Ladle into soup bowls.
Serve with sour cream and dark pumpernickel bread.
