Grandma's Beef Rivel Soup

Ingredients
  Chuck roast/Rib boiling beef 1 Pound, cut in to chunks
  Onion 1 Medium, finely chopped
  Cold water 2 Quart
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Egg 1 Large
  Flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Or More)
Directions

Slowly boil beef with water, onion, salt and pepper until tender.
Mix flour and egg with your fingers until in small chunks, called rivels.
Add to broth and cook for 5 minutes.
Serve in soup bowls with crackers or croutons.
Beef could be cooked in Crockpot for convenience.
