Quick Potato Soup
|Potato||1 Medium, peeled and cubed|
|Onion||1 Medium, peeled and chopped|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Chicken flavored bouillon granules/One cube||1 Teaspoon|
|Potato flakes||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Dried)|
|Pepper white||1 Pinch|
|Bacon slices||2 , diced|
|Smoked ham/Diced, boiled ham||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||2 Quart (More Or Less)|
In saucepan, fry bacon until partially cooked, not crisp.
Drain off most fat; add chopped onions.
Cook until transparent.
Add water, ham, chicken flavor bouillon, to hot bacon.
Simmer until all is tender, about 15 minutes.
Add sugar, pepper, and half of dried potato flakes, stirring well until all is mixed.
Simmer an.additional 10 minutes.
Add rest of potato flakes, stirring well, then all milk.
Simmer another short time until soup is well thickened.
Add diced potato; cook until soft.
