Barley & Vegetable Soup

Ingredients
  Chicken stock 1 1⁄2 Liter (6 Cups)
  Pearl barley 100 Gram (1/2 Cup)
  Tomato paste 2 Tablespoon (No Added Salt)
  Mixed dried herbs 1 Teaspoon
  Onion 1 Large, chopped
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), crushed
  Celery stalks 2
  Carrots 2 Large, diced
  Parsnip 1 , diced
  Turnip 1 Small, diced
  Green beans 200 Gram, sliced
Directions

1.Place stock, barley, tomato paste and herbs in a large saucepan.
Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
2.Add onion, garlic, celery, carrots, parsnip, turnip and beans and cook for 20-25 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
