Oatmeal Soup

Ingredients
  Oatmeal 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Onion 1⁄2 Small, finely chopped
  Garlic clove 1 Large, minced
  Oil/Melted butter 1 Tablespoon
  Chopped tomato 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (Fresh / Canned)
  Soup stock 4 Cup (64 tbs) (Use Any Type)
  Soy grits 2 Tablespoon
  Tamari soy sauce 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

In an iron skillet or heavy-bottom saucepan, toast oatmeal over medium-high heat, stirring constantly to keep it from burning, until it is light brown.
Remove oatmeal from pan and set aside.
Saute onion and garlic in oil or butter until tender.
Combine with tomato, stock, soy grits and toasted oatmeal and cook over low heat for approximately 5 minutes.
Season with tamari soy sauce and salt and serve.
