|Shredded sharp process american cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Place water, celery and onion in 1-cup measure.
Cover tightly and microwave on high (100%) until tender, 1 1/2 to 2 minutes; reserve.
Place margarine in 4-cup measure.
Microwave uncovered on high (100%) until melted, 45 to 60 seconds.
Mix in flour.
Stir in celery and onion, milk, bouillon and paprika.
Microwave uncovered until boiling, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes.
Stir in cheese.
Microwave uncovered on medium-high (70%) until melted, 1 1/2 to 2 minutes; stir.
Garnish with popcorn or croutons if desired.
