Easy Microwaved Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
  Hot water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Green peas 1 Cup (16 tbs), split
  Onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Carrots 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), thinly sliced
  Celery 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), thinly sliced
  Parsley flakes 1 Tablespoon
  Marjoram leaves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Thyme leaves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
Directions

In 3-qt casserole combine all ingredients.
Cover.
Microwave at High 8 to 10 minutes, or until boiling.
Stir.
Reduce power to 50% (Medium).
Microwave, covered, 20 to 30 minutes, or until peas are very soft.
Remove 3/4 to 1 cup peas.
Mash thoroughly and stir into soup.
Increase power to High.
Microwave, uncovered, 10 to 15 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
