Cream Of Carrot Soup

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Onions 2 Medium, chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Potatoes 3 Medium, diced
  Carrots 4 Medium, diced
  Chicken stock 5 Cup (80 tbs)
  Bay leaf 1
  Thyme 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Melt butter in large saucepan.
Add onion and garlic.
Saute until clear and soft.
Add remaining ingredients using smaller amount of thyme.
Bring to a boil.
Cover and simmer until vegetables are tender.
Discard bay leaf.
Add more thyme if desired.
