Spiced Homemade Tomato Soup

Ingredients
  Milk 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Soft butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon
  Flour 3 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Canned tomatoes/Enough peeled fresh tomatoes to make 3 1/2 cups when chopped 28 Ounce (1 Can)
  Onion 1 , peeled and quartered
  Celery sprig 1 (Use Leaves)
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Allspice/Cloves 1 Dash
  Soda 1 Pinch
Directions

Scald milk in a large double boiler and stir in a smooth mixture of butter and flour.
Whisk and cook until smoothly thickened.
Pour tomatoes into a blender and add onion, celery leaves, sugar and allspice.
Cover and whiz until chopped.
If using fresh tomatoes, cut into pieces before adding to the blender.
Pour the tomato mixture into a saucepan and add soda.
Stir and bring to a boil.
Simmer 6 or 7 minutes or until onion bits are soft.
Stir slowly into the cream sauce and mix well.
Spinkle black pepper before serve.
