Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
  Dried split peas 1 Pound, rinsed and drained
  Smoked pork hocks 1 Pound (Meaty)
  Chopped onion 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sliced pared carrots 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sliced celery 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Water 2 Quart
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Dried marjoram leaves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 3⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Combine all ingredients in 5-qt. glass casserole.
Cover and microwave at high setting 50 minutes, or until pork is tender, stirring every 10 minutes.
Remove pork hocks.
Remove meat from bones.
Cut meat in bite-size pieces and return to soup.
Cover and microwave at high setting 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
