Onion Wine Soup

Ingredients
  Onions 3 Medium, thinly sliced
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Canned condensed chicken broth 21 Ounce (2 cans,10 1/2-ounce each)
  Dry white wine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  French bread slices 6 , toasted
  Grated parmesan cheese 1 Tablespoon
Directions

In blazer pan of chafing dish cook onion in butter over direct heat till lightly browned.
Add broth, 1 1/3 cups water, and wine; heat.
Ladle into soup bowls.
Sprinkle toast slices with cheese; float on soup.
Pass additional cheese, if desired.
