Onion Wine Soup
|Onions||3 Medium, thinly sliced|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Canned condensed chicken broth||21 Ounce (2 cans,10 1/2-ounce each)|
|Dry white wine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|French bread slices||6 , toasted|
|Grated parmesan cheese||1 Tablespoon|
In blazer pan of chafing dish cook onion in butter over direct heat till lightly browned.
Add broth, 1 1/3 cups water, and wine; heat.
Ladle into soup bowls.
Sprinkle toast slices with cheese; float on soup.
Pass additional cheese, if desired.
