Pear And Leek Soup

Ingredients
  Sweet butter 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Sliced leeks 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Pears 4 , peeled, cored and coarsely chopped
  Chicken stock 6 Cup (96 tbs)
  Ground savory 1 Teaspoon
  White pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Pear 1 , peeled, cored and sliced
  Blue cheese 2 Tablespoon
Directions

1. In a large saucepan, heat butter. Add leeks; saute 10 minutes, until softened.
2. Add chopped pears, chicken stock, savory and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes, until pears are softened. Stir in lemon juice.
3. In batches, puree in blender or food processor, until smooth.
Soup may be served hot or cold. If serving her, return to saucepan and heat through. If serving cold, pour into large bowl and chill.
Garnish with pear slices and crumbled blue cheese.
