Watercress Soup

Ingredients
  Canned chicken broth 46 Ounce (1 can)
  Peeled ginger slices 3 (thin slices, fresh or canned)
  Monosodium glutamate/Optional 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Dash
  Watercress 2 Cup (32 tbs), snipped
  Green onions with tops 2 , thinly sliced
Directions

Heat chicken broth, ginger root, monosodium glutamate and salt to boiling in 2-quart saucepan.
Cook uncovered over high heat 5 minutes.
Remove ginger root from broth; stir in watercress.
Cook uncovered over medium heat 15 minutes.
Garnish each serving with green onions.
