Omie's Potato Soup

  Potatoes 500 Gram (Kartoffeln, 5 Medium Sized)
  Leek piece 1 Small (Kleine Stange Porree)
  Carrots 2 Medium (Mittelgrofie Karrotten)
  Celery stick 1 (Stuck Sellerie Knolle)
  Kohlrabi/Small turnip 1 Small

1. Chop the vegetables and cook them in salted water (or stock cube or chicken stock). Vegetables must be covered a little bit with the water. When it is done (about 25 to 30 minutes), press it through a colander. Add a little bit more water if necessary. Add salt and pepper to taste.
2. Chop one small onion and chop 100g (a couple of slices) smoked bacon in little pieces. In a separate pan, roast the onion and bacon together until crispy.
3. Sprinkle over the ready soup. Serve the soup in pretty soup cups with a tea-spoonful of sour cream. Guten Appetit!
