Omie's Potato Soup
|Potatoes||500 Gram (Kartoffeln, 5 Medium Sized)|
|Leek piece||1 Small (Kleine Stange Porree)|
|Carrots||2 Medium (Mittelgrofie Karrotten)|
|Celery stick||1 (Stuck Sellerie Knolle)|
|Kohlrabi/Small turnip||1 Small|
1. Chop the vegetables and cook them in salted water (or stock cube or chicken stock). Vegetables must be covered a little bit with the water. When it is done (about 25 to 30 minutes), press it through a colander. Add a little bit more water if necessary. Add salt and pepper to taste.
2. Chop one small onion and chop 100g (a couple of slices) smoked bacon in little pieces. In a separate pan, roast the onion and bacon together until crispy.
3. Sprinkle over the ready soup. Serve the soup in pretty soup cups with a tea-spoonful of sour cream. Guten Appetit!
