|Cooking oil||1 Tablespoon (Also Called Salad Oil)|
|Chopped onions||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Hot water||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Cut up carrots||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cut up celery||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cut up potato||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Meat extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Whole tomatoes||6 (Fresh)|
Brown beef slowly in oil in heavy kettle.
Add onions and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add remaining ingredients, except tomatoes.
Bring to boil, cover and simmer 20 minutes.
Add tomatoes and simmer 10 minutes more.
When serving, put a whole tomato in each bowl and surround with soup.
