|Claret/Sherry wine / orange juice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cinnamon||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon||1⁄2 , finely sliced|
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Cornstarch||1 Teaspoon, mixed with 1/4 cup water|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (For Mixing The Cornstarch)|
Drain cherries, reserving juice.
In a saucepan, combine cherry juice, orange juice or wine, cinnamon, sugar, water and lemon slices.
Simmer for 15 minutes..
Strain and add cornstarch which has been blended with the 1/4 cup water.
Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
