Cherry Soup

Ingredients
  Canned red pitted cherries/Canned black pitted cherries 1 Quart (1 Can)
  Claret/Sherry wine / orange juice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cinnamon 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Lemon 1⁄2 , finely sliced
  Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1 Teaspoon, mixed with 1/4 cup water
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (For Mixing The Cornstarch)
Directions

Drain cherries, reserving juice.
In a saucepan, combine cherry juice, orange juice or wine, cinnamon, sugar, water and lemon slices.
Simmer for 15 minutes..
Strain and add cornstarch which has been blended with the 1/4 cup water.
Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
