Apple Soup

Ingredients
  Tart apples 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Water 2 1⁄2 Quart
  Lemon 1⁄2 , sliced thin
  Cinnamon stick piece 1
  Cornstarch 4 Tablespoon
  Sugar To Taste
  Wine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Wash, quarter, and core the apples.
Do not peel them.
Cook the apples until soft in 1 quart of water with the lemon and cinnamon stick.
Put the apples through a coarse sieve.
With the rest of the water, put the strained mixture into a pot and bring it to a boil.
Mix the cornstarch with 1/4 cup of water and add it to the pot, stirring constantly.
Add the sugar and wine.
