Easy Spinach And Potato Soup

  Frozen chopped spinach 10 Ounce (1 Package)
  Cooked mashed potatoes 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Half and half 3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)
  Crumbled basil 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Thyme 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  White pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Shredded swiss cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)

Using paper towels, remove excess moisture from spinach.
Puree spinach and potatoes; transfer to a saucepan.
Add remaining ingredients except Swiss cheese.
Simmer, partially covered, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes.
Garnish with Swiss cheese.
