Spiced Cherry Soup
|Frozen sweet cherries||16 Ounce, thawed (1 Package)|
|Water||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Unsweetened apple juice||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cinnamon stick||3 Inch|
|Cornstarch||7 Teaspoon (2 Tablespoons Plus 1 Teaspoon)|
Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes.
Combine cornstarch and 3 tablespoons water; stir well.
Add to cherry mixture; cook over low heat 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
Transfer to a large bowl.
Cover and chill thoroughly.
Remove and discard cinnamon stick.
