Chestnut And Celery Soup

Ingredients
  Finely chopped onion 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), minced
  Bay leaf 1
  Dried thyme 1⁄2 Teaspoon, crumbled
  Unsalted butter 2 Tablespoon
  Thinly sliced celery 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Carrots 2 , sliced thin
  Whole chestnuts 1 Pound, rinsed, drained well, and p (Canned / Vacuum Packed)
Directions

In a kettle cook the onion, the garlic, the bay leaf, and the thyme in the butter over moderately low heat, stirring, until the onion is softened, add the celery and the carrots, and cook the mixture over moderate heat, stirring, for 5 minutes.
