Apple Dessert Soup

Ingredients
  Canned pie sliced apples 20 Ounce (1 Can)
  Apple juice 1 Quart
  Canned whole cranberry sauce 1 Pound (1 Can)
  Vanilla bean/Cinnamon stick 2
  Firmly packed light brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 4 Tablespoon
  Whipped cream 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Nutmeg/Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Mix first 5 ingredients in saucepan.
Bring to boil and simmer, covered, 10 minutes.
Mix cornstarch with water.
Add to fruit mixture.
Bring to boil, stirring.
Boil a few minutes, or until clear and slightly thickened.
Remove vanilla bean, pour mixture into serving bowl and sprinkle top lightly with granulated sugar.
Cool; top each serving with dab of whipped cream.
Sprinkle with ground nutmeg or cinnamon.
